What are the 4DX Safety Guidelines?

Your 4DX experience includes elaborate seat motions, movements and vibrations along with environmental effects such as wind, fog, lightning, strobe lighting, water and scents that enhance what you see on the screen. You are entering at your own risk. By purchasing a ticket and/ or entering the 4DX experience, you are acknowledging that you understand and will comply with the safety warnings and guidelines below and that you are aware of, and accept the risks associated with the 4DX experience. Neither Event Cinemas and/or 4DX assume any liability for injuries or damages suffered as a result of viewing a presentation in 4DX. The general Event Cinemas Conditions of Entry also apply to all guests, in addition to the below. 


Due to safety requirements, the following guests will not be admitted to a 4DX presentation: 


• Children aged 3 and under (Children aged 4 and up must be seated in their own 4DX seat and not on anyone’s lap. Booster seats are unsuitable for use in the 4DX chairs. Children must remain seated throughout the session next to their parent/guardian)

• Guests under 100 cm tall. 


With our apologies, 4DX presentations are not recommended for the following guests: 


• Guests weighing over 120kg 

• Guests who suffer from high blood pressure, heart conditions, back or neck conditions, epilepsy, or any type of serious medical conditions or disabilities 

• Guests who use a wheelchair (Due to the unique requirements of the 4DX auditorium, wheelchair spaces are unavailable in this auditorium. Any films shown in 4DX will also be shown at an alternative time in a wheelchair accessible auditorium). 

• Guests who are blind or who have visual impairment 

• Guests with sensory sensitivities 

• Pregnant women 

• Guests suffering from breathing problems, such as allergies or scent sensitivities 

• Guests prone to motion sickness. 


If you are unsure about attending a 4DX presentation, please consult your doctor or physician.


How to have a safe and enjoyable 4DX experience:


• Remain seated at all times unless you are getting up to leave the 4DX experience. Be mindful of the footrests when getting on or off the 4DX motion chairs. 

• Hot liquids, such as tea or coffee, shouldn’t be brought into a 4DX presentation. Avoid eating or drinking during intense motion scenes. Drinks should be in a covered cup that fits in the cup holder. 

• If you must bring valuables, please adequately secure and protect your property. Personal belongings must not be stored in the space between the seats, under the foot rest, or where it obstructs the aisles. 

• Delicate fabric may be adversely affected by the 4DX effects. 

• Don’t put your arms or legs in between the seats, or stand on the footrest. 

• Children aged 4-12 must be seated next to their parent/guardian. 

• Don’t share seats or sit on another person’s lap. Children’s booster seats are unsuitable for use with 4DX seating. 

• Please sit upright and keep your feet on the footrest. 

• Do not get too close to special effects units, especially blowers or jets
